It’s not just the tires that cost an e-scooter. Small rims, hidden screws, motor cables and very strong solid rubber tires can determine the amount of work more than the price of the parts.
In the Viennese market, simple examples are around 40 euros for pure working time, around 60 euros for tubes and tires including labor and around 70 euros for installed solid rubber. These are not fixed prices for every model: engine side, screw locking, damaged rims and special sizes change the effort.
What costs are realistic?
| Performance | Market example |
|---|---|
| Pure assembly work | From around 40 euros |
| Tube and tire including labor | About 60 euros |
| Solid rubber tires including labor | About 70 euros |
The binding price only arises after the model and damage check. Ask if part, labor, valve, disposal and final inspection are included.
Why does the same tire diameter cost different?
- Motor instead of free impeller
- Hard-to-reach or damaged screws
- Split or one-piece rim
- Tube, tubeless or solid rubber
- Stuck tire and old sealant
- Damaged rim, valve or motor cable
Similar specifications such as 8.5 or 10 inches do not guarantee compatibility. Read about it Comparison of e-scooter tire types.
Is a new hose enough?
A hole in the hose can be caused by foreign objects, too low pressure, valve damage or a jammed assembly. If the foreign body remains in the jacket, the new hose will immediately be damaged again. Cracks, visible casing, dents or a damaged tire bead require a new coat.
This way you will get a reliable offer more quickly
- Name the brand, model and series variant.
- Send photo of entire scooter and affected wheel.
- Take a photo of the tire label and valve.
- Indicate whether the bike has a motor and cables.
- Describe whether air escapes immediately or slowly.
- Coordinate your own spare parts in advance.
This means the next tire will last longer
Check the air pressure regularly according to the manufacturer’s instructions, take curbs slowly and remove splinters from the profile. After the change, freedom of movement, running direction, brakes and screw connections must be checked.
Frequently asked questions
Can I bring my own tires?
Only after voting. Dimensions, rim shape and quality must be right; Workshops can limit the warranty to third-party parts.
Is solid rubber always cheaper?
Not necessarily. Installation can be very complicated on small rims and can change the driving behavior.
How long does the change take?
This depends on the model, availability of spare parts and previous damage. A photo request enables a better assessment.
